Ocean-lover. Pragmatic, reflective and playful, I've been lucky to live many versions of self in this life.
I've been the angsty teenager who felt trapped in the rural midwest. The hippie college student who went to a school without grades. The girl who moved to California and randomly became the Assistant Director of a large yoga studio at 24, only to pivot two years later and open her own business in the healing arts. I've also been the woman who closed that same business at 28 to travel alone to India, to end up staying for the larger part of the next 9 years before opening Aware and Unfolding and moving back to the midwest.
Through nearly all of it, since I was a 19-year-old STRUGGLING with anxiety, I have been practicing yoga nidra and meditation. Through breakups, hospitalizations, moves, typhoid, career changes, new love, family illnesses- all of it. It's helped me stay connected to myself during times of great change, to find rest amidst chaos, when I was stressed and exhausted, and to move deeply with the mystery of life with more peace than my 19-year-old self could have ever imaged.
I have been practicing yoga nidra since 2005 and been a certified teacher in Integrative Restoration (a specific type of yoga nidra meditation) since 2010. I offered group classes for years in Berkeley and now love offering individual sessions as well. If you need support to rest, access well-being from within, unwind from challenges and connect to your inner compass so that you can have more freedom, peace and joy, send me a message. I would love to connect and see if Integrative Restoration can support you on your path.
Please note that I am a meditation teacher. I am not a therapist or medical professional and I do not diagnose or treat.
